Learn how to be a pack leader with canine expert and TV personality Cesar Milan, who returns for a live show at the Star Perfoming Arts Centre tonight.

Over at Sentosa, be sure to check out the Sentosa Ukulele Festival where there will be plenty of cheery ukulele music and food to last the night. Among the line up are Canadian James Hill, Korean Sungha Jung and even Singapore’s very own Jack & Rai. We caught up with the duo to find out what it takes to be a ukulele rock star.

Also this Saturday, head down to the main Kinokuniya store at Takashimaya for Free Comic Book Day where you’ll get to meet cosplayers (including Psylocke from ‘X-Men’ and Gendo Ikari from ‘Neon Genesis Evangelion’) as well as some of your favourite Star Wars characters. Show your membership card to collect your free set of comics from between 10am and 12pm.

With the recent announcement of the cast of 'Star Wars: Episode VII'celebrate Star Wars Day on 4 May (May the Fourth) over at Jurong Regional Library. Other than a display of Star Wars figurines and toys, there will also be a charity sale of Storm Trooper helmets reimagined and custom designed by local and internation artists. 

Comedian extraordinaire John Cleese performs for one night only on Sunday before heading back to London to reunite with the legendary Monty Python crew. It will be his first live performance in Asia.

You can still get your fix of musicals with ‘Grease The Musical’ and ‘Ah Boys to Men: The Musical’.

To see over 400 iconic images from Singapore’s history, head down to 'We: Defining Stories' - A photo exhibition at the National Museum Singapore. The interactive exhibition allows you to scan QR codes at certain points to access videos and even more photos on your phone.

Music & nightlife

A champion of Singapore music for the last 10 years, it will be the last edition of gig night Identite over at Home Club before the venue closes down. Featuring both rising stars and veterans, the final night celebrates 10 acts, including Weish, Plainsunset, Paris In The Making and Anechois. This is one show not to be missed.

At Zouk this weekend, catch the eccentric sounds of DJ BL3ND and DJ Koze (Friday) while Dutch duo Showtek spins on Saturday. French DJ Breakbot on the other hand, ventures down the rabbit hole over at The White Rabbit.

San Francisco black metal band Deafheaven take on Beep Studios, while Taiwanese pop star Show Lo takes on the Indoor Stadium this Saturday.

And finally on Sunday, it’s an early Cinco de Mayo fiesta over at Mogambo's with deals on maragaritas, tequila and beers.
