ARTS & CULTURE
It’s the final weekend for you to catch the Singapore Night Festival held in the Bugis and Bras Basah precincts. On Friday and Saturday in particular, you can get in on some raucous action with live wrestling matches outside The Substation.
We also highly recommend Ho Tzu Nyen’s ‘The Cloud of Unknowing’ at the Singapore Art Musuem chapel, where the famed visual art installation will be accompanied by live music from Bani Haykal and Randolf Arriola.
'The Cloud Of Unknowing' will be screened as part of the Singapore Night Festival
Here are some other highlights from the Singapore Night Festival 2014.
While you’re in the area, pop by the Singapore Art Museum for a night market by The Local People. There are art and food vendors as well as live music to entertain you, making it a great pitstop along Queen Street while you’re walking your way down the Night Festival route.
It's your last chance to catch Dick Lee's 'Hotpants'
This is also the last weekend to catch the revival of Dick Lee’s 1997 musical ‘Hotpants’. Set in 1972, the musical is as Singaporean as it gets, featuring ‘Talentime’ and Singapore Idol alumni as some of the cast.
After that, catch Dick Lee at a one-night-only concert celebrating his 40 years in music. There will be plenty of memorable songs and special guests.
Here’s an excerpt from his 30th anniversary concert
