The 400th anniversary of the Bard’s death is celebrated with a performance of his popular tragedy and love story, ‘Romeo and Juliet’ at SRT’s annual outdoor shindig, Shakespeare In The Park. The star-crossed lovers are played by Cheryl Tan (‘Beauty World’), and Thomas Pang (‘Tribes’).

One of New York’s finest house music DJs Victor Simonelli holds court at our favourite basement club Kyo this Friday.

Don’t miss Annie Leibovitz's new show Women: New Portraits (through 22 May) at Tanjong Pagar Railway Station. The exhibition reflects the changes in the roles of women today. In addition to the new photographs, the exhibition includes work from the original series as well as other photographs taken since.

Head down to Velvet Underground this Friday for some deep house, disco and soul with Chicago DJ-producer Moon Boots.

Thai dance legend Pichet Klunchun celebrates the world between life and death with joy and wonder in Dancing with Death. Inspired by Thai folk traditions, the show features Thai fashion label Flynow’s costumes, with sound and light art by Japanese artists Asako Miura and Hiroshi Iguchi.

Marvel at over 100 years of history of French jewellery house Van Cleef & Arpels’ exhibition at the ArtScience Museum. The exhibition showcases over 400 pieces from the Van Cleef & Arpels' archives, plus pieces on loan from private collectors around the world.

Independent arts space, DECK’s new exhibition ‘Steidl Deck: 1001 Steidl Books’ (through 22 May | 120A Prinsep St), sees its galleries transformed into a library dedicated to photography books, including 1,600 titles donated by world-renowned publisher and printer Gerhard Steidl. 

As part of this year’s HeritageFest 2016, Aliwal Arts Centre is throwing an Open House this weekend. On the line-up are Chinese opera; Indian and Malay dance performances and workshops by Nam Hwa Opera, Apsaras Art and DIAN Dance troupes.

Magic is in the air this weekend at Marina Bay Sands with the return of The Illusionists. Catch magicians like Dan Sperry, Kevin James, Jonathan Goodwin and more.

Golden Globe winner Jane Seymour stars in The Vortex at the Jubilee Hall. First staged in 1924, the classic play follows the ageing Florence Lancaster and her multiple relationships with younger men.
