If you’re not trickin’ there’ll be plenty to treat yourself with this weekend. Between the countless Halloween parties and the plethora of international and local music acts hitting our shores, there’s a comedy juggernaut in town as well. We’ve picked out some highlights for you. 

Funnyman Rob Schneider returns to Singapore for a full on standup comedy show at The Star Theatre. One night only. You know you want to. Event details here

"You can do it!" 

Music-wise, homegrown acapella group, Key Elements is playing a show at the Esplanade tonight.  Get behind the music with the group in this interview- In the right key with Acapella group 'Key Elements'.

They’re releasing a new album, ‘Uncovered’, with 11 brand new original songs. It’s practically unheard of round these parts, so be sure to go check them out at Late Nite @ Esplanade: Uncovered by Key Elements

Reigning Mandopop female trio S.H.E return to Singapore with a concert showcasing their most popular hits based on their 12 years in the music industry. S.H.E. 2gether 4ever World Tour 2013, happens this Saturday.

There’s something for the children too. Thanksgiving-themed movie ‘Free Birds’ (2D), which stars Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson and Amy Poehler, opened in cinemas this week. This Saturday at City Square Mall, get a Family Preview pack that includes movie tickets, popcorn, admission to the Timezone arcade and various other goodies and activities.

Even though Halloween isn’t technically until next week, there are still plenty of Halloween-themed parties to hit in your ghoulish best. Think of it as a preview before the main event on 31 October.

Or join the masses who will be thronging Clarke Quay, with Twilight Zone at Clarke Quay.

There’s also a horror movie marathon, or a ‘Horrorthon’, happening across multiple Golden Village cinemas, including Golden Village Marina, Yishun, Plaza Singapura and Jurong Point.  Scare yourself silly with a triple bill, including arguable the scariest film this year “The Conjuring”, Thai horror film “The Second Sight” and the 2013 remake of the classic, “Carrie”.
