If your idea of fun is running around Sentosa while being pelted with coloured powder, then read on.
The self-proclaimed "Happiest 5k on the Planet", The Color Run returns to Singapore this 22 and 23 August at Sentosa for a third year in a row.
Less about speed and more about fun, the un-timed 5km race that is inspired by Holi, a Hindu spring festival, asks all participants to turn up wearing white before dousing them from head to toe in coloured powers as they make their way through the various "Shine" color zone throughout the race route.
At the finish line, runners celebrate with more powder-throwing, and get to party into the night.
There are no winners, and no race times given out.
About 18,000 runners are expected to take part at this year's event, presented by CIMB Bank.
The S$1 from every registration will go to the Coalition against Bullying for Children and Youth, a voluntary organisation that works to spread awareness about and tackle the different forms of bullying.
The first 1,800 tickets for the event will be reserved for CIMB Bank retail customers. Bank customers are entitled to register for the event a week prior to the public registration, from 8 June (10am) to 14 June (11.59pm) and also enjoy a 10-per-cent discount of the registration fee.
Public registration opens 15 June at 3pm.
