The Oscars 2013

After last year's dominance from UK ('The King's Speech') and Europe ('The Artist'), America is back to reassert its dominance in film in the 85th Academy Awards.

The Steven Spielberg-helmed 'Lincoln' leads the pack with 12 nominations including nods for best picture, best director, and best actor for Daniel Day-Lewis, followed by Ang Lee's 'Life of Pi' with 11. A surprise joint third place goes to rom-com 'Silver Linings Playbook', directed by David O. Russell and Tom Hooper's 'Les Miserables'.
