After defending his neighbourhood from aliens in 'The Watch' in 2012, Ben Stiller returns to the big screen; this time wearing two hats as actor and director in 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty'.
The movies is based on James Thurber's classic story of a day-dreamer who escapes his anonymous life by disappearing into a world of fantasies filled with heroism, romance and action.

In this second film adaptation of the book (the first one was in 1947), Stiller plays Walter Mitty, a Life Magazine employee who pines away for a co-worker (Kristen Wiig). Mitty daydreams himself into wild encounters with the object of his affections, but eventually starts living some real-life adventures.
The movie's latest trailer features more of Stiller's daydreaming (or zoning out as Mitty calls it), saving a dog from an explosion, fighting with his douchebag boss in the lift and travelling to far-flung places.
'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty' sees Stiller steering away from his usual brand of comedy to something more subtle and leftfield. Production-wise, the movie looks great, bringing viewers into Mitty's fantasies.
A drama, fantasy and romantic comedy all rolled into one, 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty' which opens on 25 December is the perfect holiday movie.
