Watch: The making of 'Star Wars: A New Hope'

'Star Wars' fans worth their weight in Imperial Credits by now should have watch the much talked about trailer from JJ Abrams' upcoming Star Wars movie, 'The Force Awakens'.

You've probably cheered when the crumpled Star Destroyer appeared on screen, or when the mask of Darth Vader – burnt and melted – panned in. And screamed when Luke Skywalker's robotic hand reached out to R2D2, and screamed even louder when a familiar voice exclaimed to his furry friend that they're finally home.

It is still months before the big event happens, but before then, let's soak in the 'Star Wars' nostalgia by watching this 1977 documentary of the making of 'A New Hope'.

'The Making of Star Wars' is the first ever documentary that shows the making of the first 'Star Wars' movie that was released in 1977.

Narrated by the late William Conrad, the documentary brings you into the world of the film franchise by featuring hosts R2D2 and C-3PO as they hone in on writer and director George Lucas as well as the movie’s groundbreaking special effects.

'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' opens 17 December
