The Studios 2012 – Afar, staged at the Esplanade theatre is a story of souls trapped in an unknown time, in an unknown corner afar, the only thing they can recall are the great uncertainties of their correlation. (Performed in Mandarin, with English subtitles).

What really happens during National Service (NS)? Playwright Michael Chiang’s answers with his wildly successful play ‘Army Daze’, being re-staged at the National Library Drama Centre from 21-26 August. The play turns 25 this year and it gives us a tongue-in-cheek look at life in the Pulau Tekong’s army barracks.
