Singapore didn’t get the world’s first Angry Birds theme park – that went to Finland –
but we did get the world’s first Angry Bird cable car ride which will run from June to December 2012.
The 30 cabins have been designed to re-create the game as best as possible without actually playing it.
Inside, you’ll find an Angry Bird plushie, the sounds of snorts and chirps as the muzak, and interiors similar to the game: seats covered with pictures of planks that the pigs would sit on, the cabin floors decorated with astro turf.
While you’re meant to take in the sight of scenery from Mount Faber to Sentosa Island (or vice versa), you should also look out for the trio of cabins with individual decals of a red and yellow bird ‘chasing’ after a pig for stealing their eggs.
Confused? Pay attention to the animated Angry Birds trailer screening on the themed cabin screens.
Every signature detail that makes up the highly-addictive Angry Bird game has been incorporated into this collaboration, so whether or not you’re one of the one billion who’ve downloaded the game, it’s worth experiencing at least once.
To start off the six month collaboration between Rovio Entertainment and Mount Faber Group, an Angry Birds carnival is being staged this weekend. Angry Bird fans will get to catapult actual Angry Birds, destroy pigs, make Angry Birds masks, pen holders and more – as if you needed more encouragement!
