Society today faces numerous decisions regarding the progress of new technologies in life sciences. These new technologies and treatments have raised social, legal and ethical issues in our lives. For example, should we be informed if our food has been genetically modified? Or how would you feel if you knew that you were genetically designed by your parents?

With a small Introduction Area and a number of interactive exhibits within the 'Genome' and 'Living with Viruses' exhibitions, the Bioethics exhibition highlights the nature of a range of bioethical issues.

Visitors are encouraged to explore the issues related to organ transplantation, genetic testing, stem cell therapy and cloning as they interact with the exhibits.
