Soorya (Singapore) presents TRANSCENDENCE A classical dance production exploring the transience of gender using Indian mythology challenging preconceived notions of gender identities and stereotypes. Mr Haleem Khan, Kuchipudi dancer and cine actor who is famous for his impersonation of female roles, Mr Irijanlakkuda Krishnakumar, prominent male dancer performing the exclusively female dance form of Mohiniattam and Ms Maalika Panicker of Singapore, reputed Bharathanatyam dancer take stage.

The Lotus Sutra exhibition displays rarely seen precious manuscripts, reproductions of relics which include vivid illustrations, photographs and more than 100 pieces of precious artefacts of over a thousand years old. Exquisite replicas of the cave paintings of the Mogao cave in Dunhuang, China will also be displayed in this unique exhibition. Curated by the Institute of Oriental Philosophy, Singapore will be the 16th country to host the exhibition this year.

From weird musical instruments to foam lighter than a feather that can carry a brick, these fascinating inventions will make you think.

Belonging to a Singaporean collector, the private museum showcases an extensive collection of vintage toys, including rare and unique one-of-a-kind pieces from the mid-19th century to mid-20th Century. 

The collection, one of the finest in the world and is valued at over S$5 million. More than half of the collection was found in Singapore and can be regarded as part of Singapore's heritage.
