Night Safari's Mystica returns with fun quest

There is never a dull moment at the Night Safari, where Malayan tigers prowl, fishing cats take a dip in mangrove swamps, and the trumpeting of Asian elephants slice through the tranquil nights.

This holiday season, Mystica is back with its fourth annual run – the boldest and its most glamorous one yet. Every Friday and Saturday from 21 November to 20 December, visitors will be greeted by performers dressed up in costumes and various mascots as they take the nocturnal walking trail. We zoom in on the highlights this year.

Every year, Mystica sticks to its dazzling tradition by shining the spotlight on their flamboyant and outlandish performers in forest-creature costumes, ready to welcome you to the venue.

You will be able to take in this astounding spectacle right off the bat: playful jumparoos with springy dance steps, juggling porcupines, slithery snakes that will do the charming for a change and many more.

Keep your eye out for the mysterious Island Keeper, too, who will entrust you with an assignment. Feel free to snap pictures with these amiable mascots before setting off on your journey.

This quest is the first of its kind for Night Safari’s Mystica, which allows visitors to take part in some interactive activities through the 35-hectare nocturnal park and along its customary walking trails.

There will be a total of four different challenges, and whether you choose to explore on foot or by tram, you won’t miss the shimmery creatures gracing the pathways. They will guide you to each quest station where you will find onsite tasks.

Coloured wrist gems are earned after every mission.

Of course, your hard-earned wrist gems aren’t all for naught. You get to exchange them at the Redemption Counter for exclusive prizes.

If you collect at least three wrist gems, you get a S$5 retail voucher. Go the extra mile to secure the fourth, and you’ll be awarded a Night Safari Glitter Tumbler. Limited to the first 200 redemptions per day, the tumbler comes in pink, blue and yellow.
