A mystical weekend awaits

It just doesn’t want to end. The K-Pop craze continues this week with the opening of new Clarke Quay club Coco and its hosting of The Ultimate K-POP Party Ft. DJ MASA.The prolific Brazilian remixer who’s a massive fan of K-pop and Asian music returns with his bag of Korean tricks. If you’re ready to K-pop like a G6, head down to Clarke Quay this weekend.

Christmas may be a week away but that doesn’t mean that you can’t get the party started! Mosey on down to Avalon this Saturday as Chroam Presents: A Winter Wonderland. The Chroam boys will be tossing up delish doses of hip hop, R&B and urban sounds at this shindig. Those dressed imaginatively to this party will be rewarded with a bottle of champagne.

Let the beats flow this Friday at Zouk. US DJ Kaskade sails into town to drop his brand of electro-pop and house tunes guaranteed to touch your soul and keep you grooving.

For assorted lashings of leftfield sounds, pop, punk, alternative, postrock, twee, electro, rock and Britpop (well, anything and everything really), hop down to Velvet Underground this Saturday for another edition of Poptart with DJs Jah, weelikeme & Jinmart.

Get into the Christmas spirit courtesy of one of our favourite brews. Heineken Festive Social Tree will be standing tall in the heart of Clarke Quay from Dec 17-26. The tree consists of 48 interconnecting LCD screens, measuring 11 meters high from the ground to the tip of the star and spanning four meters in width. Highlights include Virtual Tree Choir, personalized Facebook Festive Greetings, Festive Rhythms, Human Tree Ornaments and Social Visualizations hosted on the Social Christmas Tree are sure to spread the Christmas cheer.

Trip the light fantastic this weekend at the Night Safari. Although it’s not your typical nightlife haunt, we’re pretty sure that the otherworldly beings from Mystica will make up for that. Through December 31, the Night Safari is transmogrified into a fascinating place of fairies and nocturnal animals. And there are plenty of fairies along the trail to greet you as you make your way through the park. Even though, this one’s aimed at the young-uns, we’re sure that the young at heart will enjoy this as well. Click here to find out more.

Have a grrrrreat weekend folks, and remember to keep on rocking! For more inspiration of what’s on, don’t forget to check out our comprehensive events calendar. Party on, and do check back next week for the hottest events to hit town!
