Good Vibrations: Drum Tao returns to Singapore

In today’s era of digital effects, it’s very refreshing to be able to witness a performance that is no less stunning while being pared down to the very basics. After a successful run last year, Drum TAO returns for three nights of sheer artistry, fluidity and showmanship, creating an explosive performance that will take your breath away.

Blown away by Drum TAO

Since 1993, Drum Tao has been seen by more than five million people in Japan and internationally. The name Tao is written with a single Chinese character meaning “way” or “road”.

The two-hour extravaganza features the amazing talents of the 14-strong Japanese Taiko drummers, who work their 400-kg Wadaiko drums to spectacular effect in performances worldwide. Switching effortlessly between their monster instruments and smaller drums, bamboo flutes and a horizontal harp, Drum TAO’s split-second choreography makes this a must-watch.

Drum Tao is performing from 16-18 August at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands. Tickets are $68-$148 and are available through SISTIC.
