Explore the Quiet Side of F1 with Free Exhibitions!

Vroom….F1 has well and truly arrived! If you need a break from all the crowds and festivities, explore the cultural side of Singapore that your F1 ticket affords you free entry into!

Our pick is definitely the Singapore Art Museum, where we recommend you check out Digital Nights - which is the star attraction going on both indoors and out at the SAM (we give you a sneak peek). Highlights include A Digital Experience, Binary Waves and Ultra Nature, and here’s a full listing of digital events going on in the area.

While you’re there, don’t miss Vincent Leow’s Tags and Treats exhibition, which has been partly inspired by the passing of his beloved dog, Andy. Expect more of his trademark whimsical style that takes the edge off grim

like mortality and war.

Other exhibitions you might like to check out are Cheong Soo Pieng’s Bridging Worlds, and the Lan Fang Chronicales by Choy Ka Fai.

Over at theAsian Civilisations Museum, explore the influences that shaped Sumatra and made it the island it is today. Kids will love Supermighty! Heroes of Asia which reintroduces many beloved characters of Asian myths.

For a different side of F1, drop by the Singapore Philatelic Museumfor an insight on Ferrari symbolism, which has been featured on stamps and other collectibles, at the GP 2010 Stamp Exhibition. While there, you might also want to check out rare GP Lambert photographs, or indulge in the beauty and spirituality of Indonesia.

F1 tickets also entitle you to free entry into the National Museum of Singaporeand the Peranakan Museum, so what are you waiting for!It doesn’t have to be all races and parties at this year’s F1. See you there!

The F1 GP Season is on from Friday to Sunday, Sept 24-26. Get your tickets here.
