Before Thor and his Warriors Three battle Malekith and the Dark Elves horde, we turn our attention to our favourite star-spangled hero.
We last saw Cap at the end of ‘Avengers’, battling the marauding alien Chitauri alongside Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye.
In ‘The Winter Soldier’, Cap faces a new unknown enemy (his best bud Bucky who turned evil) and this first trailer shows that he will not be alone to face the threat.
Steve Rogers aka Captain America (Chris Evans) defends the nation's capital alongside Natasha Romanoff (aka Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson).
The action-packed trailer sets the captain out to "neutralize a lot of threats before they even happen," according to Samuel L. Jackson's, Nick Fury.
Comic geeks already know that ‘The Winter Soldier’ takes a leaf from a beloved arc by comic book writer Ed Brubaker, who brought Cap's best bud Bucky back from the dead (see 'Captain America: The First Avenger') as a Soviet super assassin with a bionic arm.

In the new film, Sebastian Stan reprises his role as Bucky, but he's back with a menacing look.
In the trailer, we also get to see a new character Falcon, played by Anthony Mackie flashing his wings to battle some bad guys, and then there’s also veteran actor Robert Redford as S.H.I.E.L.D. boss Alexander Pierce.
The movie is certainly much awaited by fans of Cap and even Brubaker has given the story a thumb’s up.
In an interview with USA Today, the comic scribe said, “he was blown away by the script.”
“…it's the first time Marvel has put out a movie where there's a specific book the title of the movie relates to,” Brubaker said.
‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ opens in theatres April 2014. Check out the trailer below:
