Joe Carnahan to direct 'Undying Love'

Joe Carnahan is currently in talks to replace Alexandre Aja at the helm of a big screen adaptation of Tomm Coker and Daniel Freedman's comic miniseries 'Undying Love'.

With 'The A-Team' and 'The Grey' behind him, Joe Carnahan is now considering a romantic thriller that blends vampire lore with the Hong Kong action genre. The plot centers around a ex-soldier who falls for a blood-averse vampire girl and is tasked with slaying the master vampire who created her to stop the curse and be able to stay with her. As her creator is being protected by the local mob, the body count quickly goes through the roof.

Joe Carnahan is currently working on the adaptation of Danish crime series 'Those Who Kill (Den som dræber)' for US television, a movie about Colombian drug baron Pablo Escobar, titled 'Killing Pablo', and a remake of 'Death Wish'.
