Journey makes Singapore stop for 2013 world tour

You better believe that the American rock legends Journey will be making their way to perform in Singapore.

These evergreen rockers will be performing at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 19 March 2013.

They will be playing their hits and the rock ballads which propelled them to giddy heights in Billboard’s Top 100 list.  Songs such as ‘Open Arms’ and ‘Faithfully’ will have you reaching for the lighters to wave in the air in unison with your fellow rock lovers.

The band’s line up has gone through various changes in the years that have passed. The current lead singer Arnel Pineda comes from the Philippines and was actually playing in a Journey cover band before this. Pineda has the video sharing site YouTube to thank for his elevation from cover band to actual band. They were looking for a replacement front man in 2007 when they came across of videos of Pineda doing his thing as part of his former group The Zoo. The words serendipity has never been more apt.

The show promises to deliver a spectacular performance that will keep their fans believing in the Journey magic. And yes if you are wondering, they will of course be playing their monster hit ‘Don’t Stop believing’, thought we forget about that one didn’t you?

Journey Live in Singapore | Date: 19 March 2013 | Venue: Singapore Indoor Stadium | Tickets: $168, $148, $128 and $98 from 5 December
