K-pop’s SMTOWN comes to town in Nov

It’s a K-pop fan’s dream come true: the who’s who of the Hallyu Wave rolling in for one of the biggest musical event of the year.

BoA, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation and more acts are expected to perform here on 23 November 2012 at the Marina Bay Floating Platform.

“SMTown is truly the mother of all K-Pop concerts and we’re madly excited to bring this to Singapore,” says Beatrice Chia-Richmond, creative director for Running Into The Sun, organisers for the concert.

“As a massive concert that has only been staged so far at iconic international venues, we hope this concert will impact Singapore and the region to bring progressive music and quality productions here,” she adds.

SMTOWN Live in Seoul

Other than Seoul, the concert has been performed in Anaheim in California, Hsinchu in Taiwan and Tokyo this year. It will also make a stop in Jakarta on 22 September. The concert here will also mark the first time the audience will be allowed on the floating stage during a show.

SMTOWN Live Tour III is on 23 Nov at the Marina Bay Floating Platform. Tickets will be available from 29 Sep to 1 Oct for Samsung customers who produce any Samsung handset and OCBC Card members. Public sales start 2 Oct
