Lace up for a good cause!

Registration for the Nike City 10K opens today!

Come October 24, our little red dot will be hosting its first ever inter-city race against Malaysia! Don’t miss out on this opportunity to lace up against runners in neighboring Kuala Lumpur – all for a good cause, of course.

As part of the newly-introduced Nike City 10K, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur will stand off not only in physical races , but also in an exciting virtual race where runners can clock mileage for their respective city from now till October 31. Both cities will be part of the global Nike City 10K runs happening in 22 other cities, though Singapore and Malaysia will be the only two vying for a single prize.

So how do we make Singapore win this? Simple! The city with the most kilometres clocked by the end of October will win, with the prize of a USD30,000 donation from Nike to their respective charities – in Singapore’s case, the Singapore Children’s Society.

Runners can sign up for either the Open category (Men / Women) or Under 25 category (Men / Women). Young runners can also sign up for the School category, which is open to students from secondary schools, junior colleges, polytechnics and universities. The registration fee of $25 (for runners 24 years and below) or $35 (for runners 25 years and above) before GST, and includes a Nike City 10K race t-shirt with a pre-printed number bib and a finisher’s award for all participants who complete the race.
