Bring out your shades, day-glo tights and sneakers for some serious party rocking this November.
Originally set to perform early this April, LMFAO had to postpone their gig when Sky Blu was wrought with a back injury. On top of that, the duo recently announced on 21 September that they will be going on hiatus.
So, it seems like it’s just going to be Red Foo, the afro-half of the electro-pop live wire, and their Party Rock Crew this time round. Nonetheless, you can still look forward to one of biggest and rowdiest parties the Indoor Stadium has ever seen.
The gig takes place on a Monday – where most, if not all, party-abled yuppies can be found fresh out of a page from Prozac Nation. But alas, these rockstars come unabashed and unapologetic, ready to “get up, get down, put your hands up to the sound” whatever day and time of the week.
Their infectious beats and banal pop lyrics have made staple party tracks since the release of 'Party Rock Anthem' in 2011 – which not only popularized the dance move known as ‘shuffling’, but also sold over 10 million copies worldwide. We anticipate their other chart-toppers like 'Champagne Showers', 'Sexy and I Know It' and their latest single 'Sorry For Party Rocking' – whose crazy, frat house party-type music video amassed over 100 million views on YouTube.
Expect inflatable dancing zebras, light-reflective hotpants, and perhaps even Jesus shuffling in sandals.
Red Foo of LMFAO and the Party Rock Crew will perform on 5 November, 8pm at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Tickets priced at $148, $128, $108 and $98 will be available on Sistic from 25 September.
