It's one of the most hotly anticipated films in recent memory but it's been shrouded in secrecy from the moment we found out Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo would be returning in a new 'Star Wars' film.
Now, with 'The Force Awakens' premiere just days away, some of the newer stars have dropped a few hints about their characters.
"Rey is just a young woman and she's just a scavenger just kind of living a mundane life, she works to eat and she works to eat and that's really all there is. There's no emotional support around her. There's no-one broadening her horizons and then she meets Finn and they go on this incredible adventure," actress Daisy Ridley said.
"Finn is a Stormtrooper and I know there's a lot of speculations but he's just a Stormtrooper and he's someone who fights under The First Order. The First Order has obviously risen from the ashes of the Empire and wants to find a different path. He is in constant conflict within himself," actor John Boyega described.
'Inside Llewyn Davies' star Oscar Isaac also appears as Poe Dameron.
"The best freaking pilot in the galaxy, he's got a black helmet, he believes in the force, he is committed to the resistance, he comes from a long line of rebel fighters, he's a bit reckless, he has a problem with authority and he's eager to prove himself as a leader," Isaac said.
Another new face is Adam Driver, who plays the reported villain Kylo Ren.
But Driver says Ren might not be the evildoer some are expecting him to be.
"There's something familiar about his costume that seems to be an homage to Darth Vader but how he behaves is maybe more unrefined and less in control than probably what people associate with the dark side, I'd say." (Reporter: So how evil is he?) "I don't know. I don't think he's evil at all. I think that he is right so it's hard for me to say," Driver said.
