New ‘White House Down’ trailer explodes online

Whoever said that ‘The Apprentice’ is the toughest job interview in the world probably hasn’t met John Cale yet.

This unfortunate dude (played by Channing Tatum) went for an interview, got turned down, then got trapped in the place with some terrorists who’re trying to kidnap and maybe kill the man he wants to work for.

So what’s a man to do? Do the job you’re applying for that is and that’s what Tatum did in the latest trailer for Roland Emmerich’s upcoming movie ‘White House Down’.

Tatum plays Cale, a Washington, DC police officer who wants something out of his life and career as well as wanting to impress his daughter Emily (Joey King).

When he’s initially unsuccessful applying to join the Secret Service, he’s then forced into doing the job of protecting the world’s most powerful man (Jamie Foxx’s President James Sawyer) when armed gunmen attack the capital.

In true Emmerich style, the White House goes boom, the Capitol too, mirth, mayhem and it’s up to John Cale and the President to save the day. Yipee ki yay.

‘White House Down’ opens in theatres 27 June 2013
