Owl City set to electrify Singapore GP’s Closing Concert

We’d like to make ourselves believe that the Singapore GP can only get better. And it seems like our wishes have come true.

It has been announced that electro-pop artiste Owl City will be performing at The Closing Concert on 23 September, Monday. This is a fresh addition to the musical line-up which sees the Minnesota-based musician sharing the stage with top pick Justin Bieber.

Expect plenty of playful vibes from the talented singer-songwriter

Though performance timings are currently tentative, Owl City will be opening for Bieber at a scheduled timing of 6.15-7.25pm, before Bieber comes on at 8.15-9.55pm. Gates will open at 4.15pm.

Entry to this double-bill Closing Concert is separately ticketed, set at a regular price of $148, but discounted at $98 if you’re a Singapore GP race-weekend ticketholder.

For the platinum-selling 27-year-old, this will be his first time performing in Singapore.

Shot to fame with his 2009 infectious single ‘Fireflies’, Owl City aka. Adam Young will be playing an assortment of tracks from his four studio albums, including crowd favourites ‘Vanilla Twilight’, ‘Umbrella Beach’, and his duet with Carly Rae Jepsen ‘Good Time’.

And a good time is exactly what you’ll get with Young’s sprightly personality and dream-glazed bleeps and bloops.

Owl City joins a star-studded ensemble of musicians including Rihanna, The Killers, Tom Jones, and Big Bang.
