Potted Potter: Boy Wizard gone wild

Fans have cried over the ending of the popular Harry Potter series, and some of them have not completely gotten over the fact that their boy-wizard no longer exists – not that he ever did.

Well, if you’re one of those still suffering from the lack-of-Potter withdrawal symptoms, i.e reading the books over and over again, or buying the DVD set of all eight (including pt.2 of Deathly Hallows) movies, then why not attempt to “get over” the series by enjoying a parody of the boy-wizard?

“Potted Potter” is a basically a summary of all seven books in a mere 70-minute play as compared to the 2-hour long movies. If you think you’d be short-changed of the special effects that can only happen on video-editing and not in real-life, then you are very wrong!

With special appearances from a dragon, endless costumes magically appear from backstage, songs, props and some “magic”, the Potter-experience will be like no other. Not forgetting a Quidditch match right in front of you! We know what you’re thinking – a ridiculous sight of people jumping around with broomsticks between their thighs. That being said, you never know what to expect with a parody.

The sold-out show has been to various parts of the world with five sold-out runs inLondon, extensiveUKand international tours. Happening on the 4 to 16 September at the DBS Arts Centre – Home of Singapore Repertory Theatre, 'Potted Potter' will finally share its infectious laughter with Singapore without the use of magic, just pure entertainment.

Potted Potter happens from 4-16 September. Tickets are priced from $70 onwards and are available at all SISTIC outlets, grab your tickets and we’ll see you at Platform 9¾.
