School’s Out! Week 3

We’re well into the school holidays by now, but there’s no shortage on great fun for the whole family! This week, delve into the mysterious depths of Chinatown or let your kids try their hands at a little interactive baking, dance or science! Whatever they prefer, there’s plenty of choice for all!

The best time to visit Chinatown isn’t only during Chinese New Year, as its many quaint nooks and corners hide secrets and pockets of history! Experience China from a different angle in the Magic of Chinatown tour (until Dec 5, Adults $19, kids $15) that allows you to uncover the many secrets of Singapore’s oldest ethnic district. The pass is valid all the way to Dec 5, so feel free to tour at your own pace!

Christmas is just around the corner, so jazz up your nights by heading down to the Jewel Box for the Jewel Christmas Musical Light and Snow show (Dec 1-Jan 6, Adults $5, kids $3) for one of the most impressive festive extravaganzas this year. Not only will your kids be delighted with Santa Claus and Santarina making a special appearance, there are also plenty of photo opportunities for the whole family with the 61-m tall Christmas tree! Oh, did we mention the lighting synchronizes with the music?

If your kids are the hyperactive sort, you’ll be delighted to know that it’s workshops galore this week for young ‘uns to get their hands well and truly dirty. Try out the Time Travelers Science Workshop (Tue, Nov 30. $42), the Baking Santa Muffins Workshop (Wed, Dec 1, $30) or one of the Kids Dance Workshops (Dec 1-7, various packages available). You won’t regret it!

Lastly, inspire some Mother Earth loving with Be Amazed by Natural History (Thur-Sat, Dec 2-4, free)! Get to go behind the scenes at the museum and experience the world with refreshing, exciting eyes.
