Teen Spirit: Nirvana’s Nevermind 20th Anniversary

It’s no secret that almost everyone here in are huge fans of Nirvana. Naturally when Universal Music announced that they are celebrating the anniversary of the Seattle grunge pioneers’ seminal album Nevermind, our ears perked up.

Nirvana's Nevermind, considered one of the greatest albums of the 1990s and the one that defined a generation, turns 20 on September 24. To celebrate, the band's label, Universal, is reissuing the album as a four-CD set featuring unreleased recordings.

Nevermind was the Seattle band's breakthrough album and first album to feature drummer Dave Grohl, who later formed the Foo Fighters. Nevermind catapulted the trio Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl into their status as one of the biggest bands of the 90s, as well as launching grunge into the mainstream. The album sold 30 million copies worldwide.
