From Songkran to the Electric Run and the annual Yacht Show, here’s what to check out this weekend

This weekend celebrate the Thai New Year with a host of Songkran activities this Saturday. The H20 Music Fest at the Wavehouse in Sentosa features the likes of Far East Movement, Ming Bridges and even Thai artistes. In true Thai water festival style, there’ll be super soakers sold on site too!
Have a super-soaking Songkran
This Saturday, round up a couple of friends and head down to Sweat in the city: Hip Hop Yoga where you’ll get to twist yourself into pretzel shapes while a Snoop Dogg track pumps in the background.
Head down to the Skechers Electric Run, held all along the Marina Bay street circuit. It’s a 4km-long fun run filled with neon lights, and electric wonderland, and a DJ party at the end of it all. Saturday’s run is sold out, but tickets for Friday are still available.

Music & nightlife
Singapore alt-rock band Monster Cat launches their brand new album ‘The Violet Hour’ tonight at Aliwal Arts Centre. Tickets are available at the door too.

Arts & culture
Over at the Singapore Art Museum, check out the Southeast Asian Film Festival with films such as Filipino film ‘Aberya’ and Thai film ‘Concrete Clouds’. The festival runs till 4 May. It’ll be the Singapore premiere for many of these films, which are selling out fast. More details here.
Emulate the high life by hanging out at the Singapore Yacht Show all this weekend at ONE°15 Marina Club. Super yachts and luxury liners of all sorts will be on display, while the rich and famous come out to play.
