Boutique art fair Art Apart returns to ParkRoyal on Pickering for its seventh edition this weekend. If you fancy buying an artwork from emerging and mid-career artists from Asia and Europe, this is the place.

'Human Bestiary'

This year’s M1 Fringe Festival sees artist and performers answering the call of the wild with theme ‘Art & Animal’. Catch theatre, dance and interdisciplinary works like ‘Human Bestiary’- which looks at the extinction of animal and plant species as well as the general destruction of the planet – to the provocative ‘BITCH: The Origin of the Female Species’ by Edith Podesta, which examines one of the most complex words in the English language.

Teresa Musical pays homage to legendary songstress Teresa Teng in a different way. Award-winning actress Perry Chiu portrays the late singer in an exhaustively researched story of her life.

'Lucid Beach'

Homegrown creative/artist Mriz Sidah or better known by his alter-ego Rizibë is doing his second solo show at the Inventory from this weekend. Using the sea as inspiration, ‘Lucid Beach’ confronts our rigid perceptions of identity and the modern self.

Legendary Singapore breakbeats jock Tony Tay brings his Sirens flagship night to Kyo with Berlin-based tech-house hero DJ Lion in tow. 

The world’s biggest magic extravaganza The Illusionists returns to Singapore. This mind-blowing spectacular showcases seven brand-new, world class Illusionists handpicked from across the globe. Catch people like Yu Ho-Jin (‘The Manipulator’), Dan Sperry (‘The Anti-Conjuror’), Jeff Hobson (‘The Trickster’), escapologist Andrew Basso, Ben Blaque (‘The Weapon Master’) and daredevil Jonathan Goodwin.  

Cult Japanese rock band One Ok Rock returns to Singapore this weekend in sporrt of their latest album ‘35XXXV’. Get ready to headbang to songs like ‘The Beginning’, ‘Where You Are’ and ‘Mighty Long Fall’.

Take a chill pill and do the downward dog or sun salutations at East Coast Park with other yoga flow enthusiasts. Organised by Yoga Seeds, Sunset Bossa Flow by the Sea is a 90-minute yoga flow session conductd by Wendy Chan.

'Ocean Wild'

Catch up on new Singapore music by young musicians and bands here at Esplanade’s All Things New series of gigs. Discover homegrown music from the likes of jazz quartet Jive Collective, five-piece band 2halfs, and instrumental rock quartet Forbidden Planet
