Although Halloween is only a week away, the spook-tivities have begun.
Scape’s ‘Museum of Horrors’ returns for the fifth year and they’re going back in time for their scare-fest.
The fun begins at The Deck, which is dressed up like a graveyard, complete with ghouls hanging from trees. Visitors to the exhibition can expect several realistic diorama sets such as “The Medical Laboratory”, “Cabin in the Woods”, “The Living Dead”, “The Creepy Fun House Maze”, “Into Darkness Maze” and “Revenge of the Doll”. The exhibition will also showcase the possessed doll from the now-showing American supernatural horror film, ‘Annabelle’.
Fans of ‘The Walking Dead’ and other zombie shows will not want to miss Run For Your Lives this Saturday. This zombie-themed fun run will see you running for your lives, of course.
Head down to the Esplanade to catch ‘Frozen’. Nope. It’s not the Disney movie of the same name but Pangdemonium’s new play, which stars Janice Koh, Karen Tan and Adrian Pang. Written by Bryony Lavery, the 1998 Tony-nominated psychological thriller follows three individuals whose lives are tragically linked.
For something a little more upbeat, disco-musical ‘Priscilla-Queen of The Desert’ is now playing at the Resorts World Theatre. The show, based on the 1994 Oscar-winning film ‘The Adventures Of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert’, centres on three friends - two drag queens and a transgender performer - who travel through the Australian outback in a bus they name Priscilla.
Birmingham-bred and Berlin-based DJ Subb-an headlines Kyo this Friday. DJ Mag named this rising star ‘Best Breakthrough DJ’ in 2011 and he has remixed for the likes of artistes Lana Del Ray and Jamie Woon.
More Halloween spook-fest can be found at Zouk. This Saturday, the whole complex transforms into the freaky circus-themed Zouk Slaughter House. Come dressed in full Halloween costume to enjoy free and priority entry.
If scare and dance fests are not your thing, there’s Soulscape happening this Saturday on Tanjong Beach, Sentosa. This is a one-of-a-kind yoga, dance and music festival that's sure to be a hit with health and fitness fanatics. There will also be therapy services, yoga workshops and pop-up stores for a spot of retail therapy.
