For barrels of laughs this weekend, don’t miss Asian Invasion Comedy playing at the DBS Arts Centre through Saturday. The event features six stand-up comics from America, Japan and the UK. Singapore comedians will also be there to entertain, including Marie Wong, Evelyn Mok, Eliot Chang and Crispy The Talking Cock with his human sidekick Cindy Fung.

French house DJ Dimitri from Paris takes his sexy house grooves to Velvet Underground this Friday alongside DJ Aldrin.

Left-field, alternative electronic sounds reign at Barbershop By Timbre for one night as music collective Syndicate takes over this Friday. Singapore-based electronic music producer and DJ Louis Quek, known as Intriguant, will perform tracks from his debut release ‘Ellipse’ with a violinist and guitarist, while musician Wang "Yllis" Wei Yang will perform a furturistic blend of hip-hop and post-rock. 

Catch Riot !n Magenta at Baybeats 2015

Singapore indie music festival Baybeats starts this Friday with more than 30 bands like Seyra, Caracal, TypeWriter, Riot !n Magenta and Anechois playing the gamut from post-rock to folk and electro.

Beerfest Asia 2015 is happening this weekend.  Expect more than 400 bottles of commercial and craft brews, a dedicated cider booth, comedy shows and a full-on competitive beer pong tournament. There will be live music by tribute bands such as Lez Zeppelin and $1 tasting portions of beer. 

Nine iconic Chinese-language productions including Kuo Pao Kun’s ‘Growing Up’,  ‘Descendants of the Eunuch Admiral’ as well as Li Xie’s ‘The Vaginalogue’ are featured in Toy Factory Productions' Upstage: Contemplating 50 Years Of Singapore Mandarin Theatre, which runs from 25 to 28 June at the Esplanade Theatre Studio.

What Malaysians and Singaporeans think of each other ('Another Country')

Wild Rice is back with another tongue-in-cheek play, Another Country, touching on racial riots, Singapore's shared memories with Malaysia, and the origins of Hainanese chicken rice. Janice Koh, Sharda Harrison, Siti Khalijah Zainal and Lim-Yu Beng star in this production.

On Saturday, join celebrated photographer Russel Wong at mobile company Oppo's flagship store at Suntec City, where he will offer photography tips to smartphone users. 

Journey to the bottom of the ocean with 'The Deep', a new exhibition at the ArtScience Museum opening this weekend, and get a closer look at extremely rare specimens curated from marine expeditions.

Fans of Japanese anime and manga will not want to miss 'Gundam Docks at Singapore' which will showcase more than 200 completed Gundam model kits to mark the 35th anniversary of Gundam model kits, in conjunction with Singapore's 50th year of independence (SG50). A limited-edition SG50 Gundam model kit will be available only during this exhibition, which ends 28 June.
