Fans of iconic theater productions may want to check out the coming musical concert Beyond the Barricade. The critically acclaimed show, which will be held at MBS’ Mastercard Theatres this weekend, features four artists who were previously part of either ‘Les Misérables’’ West End staging or 25th anniversary special. Andy Reiss and David Fawcett (who played Jean Valjean), Rebecca Vere (Cosette) and Katie Leeming (Eponine) will interpret not only essential ‘Les Miz’ pieces, but also a slew of songs from other well-loved theater productions like ‘The Phantom of the Opera’, ‘Lion King’, ‘Miss Saigon’, ‘Evita’ and ‘Wicked’.

Norwegian house maestro Finnebassen headlines this Friday’s Parallel night at Velvet Underground.

Head down to the Drama Centre Theatre this weekend to Pangdemonium’s first ever bilingual play ‘Chinglish by David Henry Hwang. Starring Adrian Pang and Oon Shu An, the play is a thrilling, topical and timely tale of an American businessman's adventures when he travels to China to seal a lucrative deal. Also starring Audrey Luo, Matt Grey, and MediaCorp artiste Guo Liang.

Hong Kong’s infamous gourmet burger chain The Butchers Club Burger officially opens this weekend at Clarke Quay and it's throwing a street party with free sliders and beers.

Home-grown hip hop hero Ko Flow celebrates the first anniversary of his Solid Gold flagship night at Zouk this Saturday. Get ready to groove to the block-rockin beats doled up by DJ Rattle, Ollie'Des, Rough, Ko Flow alongside some of Singapore’s best MCs like Shigga Shay, The Lion City Boy, Mr Boo, Yooh the Vibration.

Enjoy rousing Tango and  live music with the award-winning dancers Pablo Sosa, Mariela Maldonado and friends at Tango Legends this weekendat The Esplanade Concert Hall.

Veteran choreographer-dancers Kuik Swee Boon, Silvia Yong, Jeffrey Tan and Albert Tiong come together to present ‘Above 40 四十不惑’, a collaborative piece that demonstrates their passion for dance.

Sofitel So’s Eyes To The Front Pool Party Series (10 Oct | From 4pm | 35 Robinson Rd | $10 after 4pm)wraps up this Saturday. Djs Oliver Osborne, Tye West and Dave Does rotate on the decks and you can enjoy $10 beer and wine deals as well as great BBQ food.

Californian garage punk twins The Garden will perform tracks from their latest album ‘Haha’ for their first-ever show here. Expect to hear songs like ‘What We Are’ and ‘Get Me My Blade’.
