Treats for Kids: The Fairy Tales of Lotte Reiniger

This June holidays, we've done the legwork for you and selected the best events to bring your kids to. Starting today, we'll bring you one can't-miss event that's guaranteed to be a great treat for your kids. Tune back daily for the highlighted event for the day!

Revisit beloved fairytales through Lotte Reiniger’s haunting silent films Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin and the Magic Lamp. Your kids will be enthralled by the sheer beauty of the black and white marvels inspired by Chinese silhouette puppetry, immortalized forever in animation history!

Parents will not be bored as they can immerse themselves in the exquisite, ethereal score created by Icelandic group Amiina, who are famous for their work with indie darlings Sigur Rós which probably appeal more to an adult audience.

Kids will be equally fascinated by their strange choice of instruments, which include the violin, glassophone, musical saw and water-filled glasses!

Best for aged 6 years old and above.

The Fairy Tales of Lotte Reiniger is on from June 2-5, at the National Museum as part of Children’s Season. Tickets are $14.
