'A Chorus Line'

The Singapore Repertory Theatre's outdoor Shakespeare treat returns to Fort Canning Park with this staging of the Bard's comedy (until May 20). Twelfth Night stars Adrian Pang, Shane Mardjuki and Rebecca Spykerman.

Don’t miss Warhol, Pettibone And The Art Of Appropriation  at Collectors Contemporary (until May 11). This exhibition of important works by Andy Warhol and Richard Pettibone brings the two groundbreaking artists together in a dynamic "conversation" about "appropriation".

Load up on German beers, food and music at the debut of Maifest at Clarke Quay Central Fountain (4-5 May).  Brought to you by Erdinger, this festival is based on a German tradition  -- Maibaum (a Maypole) will be erected at the centre of every Maifest venue and decorated with multi‐coloured ribbons and items, representative of the local trades and professions, around which festival‐goers can dance as it is believed that this will bring good luck and wealth. German band Ois Easy will be performing this weekend bringing you music from Bavaria. Check out our interview with the band here.

It’s Free Comic Book day this weekend! Comic book fans can get their hands on free comics as well as check out special appearances by renowned comic book artists such as Nicola Scott and Ardian Syaf of DC Comics fame. Head on to GNB Comics this Saturday (5 May; 10am-1pm) and The Cathay from 3-5pm where local-based artists Rey Villegas, Jonathan Racimo and Ray Racho will be doing sketches and taking art commission requests on the spot. 'A Chorus Line'

If you love musicals, don’t miss A Chorus Line. One of the most successful stage productions of all time, it tells the story of 17 dancers vying for eight roles in a musical. It runs from 4-27 May at the Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands. Hit up this link to find out more.

Known for his deep minimal grooves, Welsh DJ Jamie Jones will be rocking Velvet Underground this Friday (May 4). With one of 2009's biggest tracks and the Best of British award for 'Best Single' under his belt, this is one party you don’t want to miss.

Some heart-stopping punch-up action can be had at MBS’ Expo this Saturday with Dragon Fire’s Championship boxing event.  Current WBA World Champion and newly-awarded WBA Fighter of the Decade Chris John will defend his world title for the 16th time against Japan’s Shoji Kimura for the WBA Super World Featherweight Title.
