Wine Fiesta, the Writers Festival, 'Company' and fun for free this weekend

The weekend kicks off with the Singapore Writers Festival. Calling all bookworms, aspiring writers, journalists, publishers and those who just want a fiction packed week. We trawled through their packed calendar to handpick a few stand out events that should not be missed.

Get tickets to watch the Tony award winning, hilarious musical comedy 'COMPANY'. The show explores the ups and downs of single life and promises to be a humorous, action packed entertainer.

For more funnies, head to Laugh it Out. Joke it Right! Three comedians from three different nations daringly ‘stand-up’ to share with us the lighter side of social media, racism and the law.


This weekend, ‘Bond’ with the best and grab your first-day-first-show tickets to the much-awaited Skyfall. Prep yourselves with all things Bond with our handy guide that celebrates the 50 Years of 007.

Tired of the same old routine at the gym? Try these alternative workout options – they work up a good sweat, and you learn something new too.

We have a few ideas up our sleeve:-The Singapore Writers Festival is chock full of free events and things to do.  Check out performances and live events in Off The Page or meet your favorite authors in person in Brand New Books. For the first time in the festival’s history, there are ‘specially for kids’ events called Little Lit!Catch a piano recital by the gifted Alicia of LaSalle College of the Arts at the Esplanade Concourse.Claudia Gonzalez exhibits her collection of nature inspired photographs at the Print Gallery this weekend, titled: Spirits of the Nature.
